I have seen that in some hospitals, the inpatients who were brought to the lab for scanning, wither there waiting for the staff to push them back to their ward. In this era of automation, in my opinion, here are a few solutions!
A2B is a popular South Indian restaurant. If this were to be true, my blood group, now, would be A2B negative as well.
This dentist knows where to spot his prospective customers. He goes to the customer instead of waiting for them to come to him.
My heart bleeds for the diabetics. The doctors make it absurdly simple to control the diabetes. But deep in their hearts, they know how the minds of their patients work.
When a doctor is distracted, it is the patient who pays for it.
My sweet tooth and clinging to my chair resulted in a diagnosis of Fatty Liver. During the Ganesha festival, we offer a lot of sweets to Lord Ganesha. So, naturally I am worried!
While doing pelvic ultrasound scans, the lab mandates drinking a litre of water. It is not easy drinking of a litre of water when someone forces you to. If I were so irked, how would Captain Haddock from TinTin be!
While waiting endlessly in the hospital outpatient wards, I used to find some doctors with virtually no queue. I wanted to see how the doctor would feel in such cases.
Supposed to be a harmless humour on OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
Genesis of anesthesia in surgeries
I had taken my wife to a hospital for a treatment. The hospital bulletin board announced an upcoming Hernia Carnival. I was intrigued. How does one hold a Hernia Carnival? Here is one possibility.
KYC (Know Your Customer) before speaking aloud.
Voluntary social distancing.
In 2022, I had to spend a lot of time in hospitals as a caregiver. I drew a few sketches. The hospital has many such waiting rooms where a room full of worried relatives wait around snacking and sipping cups of coffee.
A place for caregivers to relax. Hospitals have these coffee shops in almost every floor. Some of them operate 24 hours.
Taking a dig at the hospital elevators. They play hide and seek like city buses adding to the frustration.
In major hospitals, as an outpatient, it takes time to meet the doctor, despite taking a prior appointment. But the coffee shops near the Outpatient ward are laughing their way to the bank.
Hospitals are beginning to behave like corporates. When I try appointments, many slots are available through a Premium option which costs twice more than the normal fees. A hospital buys out another hospital.
Hospitals ought to feed the outpatients when the appointment with the doctor is delayed. Airlines do it.
